A fast learner and multi-tasker, Lisa is appreciated by her supervisors, co-workers and residents for her quiet, yet pleasant and friendly manner.  She receives training from CAREERS’ Employment Specialist Damon Ragin, who will also assist her with her job search when she graduates this spring.  We are confident that the variety of job skills she has acquired through our Project SEARCH project will help her find the right employment fit after graduation.

Kevin - 2Kevin is also a high school senior at New Rochelle High.  Even with a full course load in school, Kevin volunteers at United Hebrew 20 hours a week.  He handles his responsibilities in recreation, housekeeping and the kitchen with a great attitude and proficiency.  Always willing to take on new tasks, Kevin is a favorite with supervisors in all three departments.  Our Employment Specialist Damon also assists him in learning the life and job skills needed to succeed and Kevin hopes to get a part-time job after he graduates in June!

Kevin is such a dedicated worker that even though there was a fire in his family’s apartment building and his family was displaced for a month, Kevin attended school and work every day, without complaint. His attitude and work ethic are an inspiration!
